Overheard in our house…

11 Jan

My daughter is something else.  At 2 1/2 she talks like you wouldn’t believe and remembers EVERYTHING!  Overheard at our house recently…

  • Katie eating her quesadilla and singing “T-t-tor-tilla!” instead of Ch-ch-ch-chia! (Have you seen those Chia Pet commericals? Why does the song have to stay in our heads?!)
  • While she was listening to her Veggie Tales Sunday Morning Songs, she sang:
“Sing for Santa, Sing for Santa, Sing for Santa to the King of Kings!” instead of ‘Sing Hosanna’.  I guess Christmas had a lasting impression!
  • Katie noticing Andrew’s nipples and asking him about them.  Andrew replied, “Mommy’s are for feeding the baby, mine are for decoration.”
  • At dinner the other night: “Mmmm, mommy, dinner is good.  You’re the best!”  Awww!

Kids have an amazing memory, don’t they? They are SO awesome! I learn from my kids all of the time. They are 8 and 6 and I find myself saying, “How do you remember that?” from things that happened when they were 3 and 4! They are just the best things in life; truly precious! Best wishes.
